China's first set of megawatt-level PEM electrolytic water hydrogen production devices achieved

    On April 6, the 72-hour continuous trial operation of the PEM electrolysis water hydrogen production demonstration project was a complete success, marking the first set of single-pile megawatt-level PEM electrolysis water hydrogen production device in China, which has great significance in science and technology and industry demonstration.

 

    This project is a demonstration project supported by national key science and technology projects, independently developed and manufactured by Chinese scientific research units and enterprise units, independent operation and maintenance. The project is a demonstration and industrialization project of the science and technology project "Development of efficient renewable energy PEM electrolytic water hydrogen production equipment".The PEM electrolytic water hydrogen production system, flexible control system adapted to PEM electrolytic water, and multi-port converter developed in the project have been well demonstrated and applied, meeting the significance of science and technology demonstration, and have broad prospects for promotion, providing a good demonstration effect for China to build a hydrogen energy industry ecosystem with integrated development of technology, industry, and application.

 

    During the trial operation of the project, the whole set of equipment has stable operation, excellent technical indicators, stable hydrogen production and output under various working conditions, the purity of finished hydrogen is stable at more than 99.999%, and the operating indicators have reached the excellent standard of "high-quality unit". This demonstration project is the first attempt to produce green hydrogen in the high altitude area of our country, and the first attempt of "green electricity + green hydrogen" by using rich solar energy resources.
