The plate is one of the key components of the alkaline hydrogen electrolyzer, which mainly plays the role of conducting electrons and blocking the cathode alkali and anode alkali. I. Main differences between the two technical routes
The core difference between the two technical routes is reflected in the main plate. The surface of the mastoid plate is distributed with a spherical concave and convex structure, which naturally forms the corresponding flow channel and support, while the plate structure needs to be matched with a support network to build the flow channel. From the composition, except for the stamping of the mastoidal plate and the support network of the plate, other steps such as plate selection, electroplating, welding and so on are basically the same. However, the increase of the support network in the plate electrolyzer not only increases the weight, but also increases the cost due to the different material of the support network. However, due to the large contact area of the plate electrolyzer, the current density is higher than that of the mastoid plate electrolyzer under the same diaphragm and electrode material. Under the same hydrogen production and effective area, the overall weight of the electrolyzer can be reduced by reducing the number of cells.

Structure and assembly: plate form plate all the same, simple structure, assembly difficulty is small, in contrast, mastoid structure plate has four styles, complex structure, assembly difficulty. Transportation vulnerability: The transportation vulnerability is lower, and there are more damaged parts in the mastoid plate electrolyzer during transportation. Scalability: the plate structure can be applied to different kinds of support network, such as diamond, square, elastic, nickel foam, etc., there are a variety of choices in the structure, high scalability; However, the structure of the mastoid plate is relatively single, which is mainly adjusted by changing the height and spacing of the mastoid plate. Cost and friendliness to new entrants: At present, materials are mainly supplied by suppliers, and there is no additional cost for mold opening, which is friendly to new entrants. The mastoidboard is different in form, and each enterprise needs to develop its own mold, especially the products of about 1000 standard square. The mold production cost is high and difficult. Although a large number of pressing can share the mold cost, it increases the cost burden of enterprises in the early stage of the industry.

2. Advantages of mastoid plate
Flow field distribution: The mastoid structure can make the flow field distribution more uniform, in contrast, the plate electrolyzer does not have this prominent advantage. Energy consumption: It can reduce the contact resistance and make the lye distribution more uniform, thereby reducing the overall energy consumption of the electrolyzer, which is one of the important reasons for more and more electrolyzer manufacturers to choose the mastoplast plate. However, the mastoid plate is not perfect. From the perspective of improving the overall performance of the electrolyzer, although the increase of the number of mastoidases is beneficial, it will lead to the increase of the stamping cost. There is also a dilemma in the selection of the depth of the mastoidprocess structure. Although the depth can make the temperature distribution uniform and reduce the influence of bubbles on the current density, it will increase the resistance of the chamber and the stamping cost, and the shallow will weaken the disturbance effect on the electrolyte flow. And, the mastoid plate is basically manufactured by the overall stamping technology, and the production is closely related to the stamping die. If the number and structure of the mastoid process change, it is necessary to re-open the die, and the cost is high, which also leads to the majority of domestic enterprises using public stamping mastoid plate, only a few large enterprises for personalized design.
